Do You Like Beer?

Basically, the only alcoholic beverage I drink is beer. Some of my favorite beer brands are: Sierra Nevada, Samuel Adams, Eureka, Indian, Snow, etc.

This is the selection of beer at the market near my home in Los Angeles. I would say this is about 1/3 of the selection.
Recently, I was surprised about the top selling brand in U.S. supermarkets.

I haven't been in the U.S. for awhile, so I had no idea about Blue Moon beer. Most people associate Budweiser with American beer. I'm definitely going to try a glass of Blue Moon Belgian White when I get home. Apparently, it's made by Molson Coors and contains orange peel and coriander flavors. Blue Moon is usually garnished with a slice of orange.

Blue Moon has also won quite a few awards:

• 1996 World Beer Championship silver medalist, White Beer category
• 1997 World Beer Championship silver medalist, White Beer category
• 2008 World Beer Championship gold medalist, Specialty Honey Lager or Ale category for Blue Moon's Honey Moon
• 2008 World Beer Championship silver medalist, Fruit and Vegetable Beer category for Chardonnay Blonde
